A pictures post (and lots)

Some of this post will be of medical stuff. Hope that won't offend!

Andy and I before I went into the hospital. My t-shirt is designed by Steve, who is in another picture in this post...the t-shirt says Organ Donors are Heros in the Making.

(Which makes me also want to add, speaking of Organ Donors- a friend just IM'd me to let me know she's on her way to the hospital for her own double lung transplant :) Keep her in your thoughts, she's an awesome person who deserves a chance at a normal life!)

In the hospital- I can't remember who took this picture, it was either Andy, my dad, or one of the respiratory therapists.

My PICC line after it was put in. PICC lines take the place of IVs, and are more like long term IVs- they can use it to give me meds, and draw blood off of. One stick, for two weeks. Drawback? A PICC line goes from your inner elbow to your heart. Andy said he shivered every time he looked at the thing.

Steve drawing. He comes by the hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to draw for the kids in the hospital. We've become good friends this way, and I'm guarunteed a late night Tuesday and Thursday visitor and some good conversation. Be sure to check out his website to see his t-shirts if you're a Boston Red Sox fan, as a portion of your purchase is given to the Tomorrow Fund, a charity for children with cancer.

Steve was also married to the late Diana Golden-Brosnihan- if you feel sorry for yourself for some reason at this moment, read about her. It's a lesson about what you can do in life.

(In case Steve ever finds himself here through Google- HI! Hope you don't mind me blathering on about you!)

My best friend Dee (who has definitely benefitted from her own double lung transplant- which she received at the age of 18, 19) visiting me.

Judy's shoes. Judy has been decorating her shoes for every month for as long as I've known her. You should see the Christmas shoes :)

The PICC line is gone! It was very. Very. Weird though, as for the first day, there was just this HOLE there. It didn't scab or bleed. Now it has, but EW to before.

Me and my parents' puppy, Holly. I look like I have something wrong with my eye, but really, I'm ok.

My parents. We saw them last night, as it was my birthday, and I GOT MY DENISE NEEDLES! I've been using them ever since, love love love. So nice. So after the gift, we went to an engagement party for my best friend from high school, and his girlfriend Katie. Very fun! Andy and I played badminton for a good half hour or so.

The groom to be is the one in red. Number 24, is my cousin Eric. He's one of the ushers/groomsmen. I didn't manage to get one of Katie, blah.

And now we arrive to craft stuff (finally, I know. I hope no one is on dial up, I might be breaking your PC)

Harry Potter book scarf for my sister's birthday.

Awareness Ribbon Dishcloth- dropped that off at the Gifts of Hope Gift shop on Thursday. Found out while I was there, that the hospital's cancer center has a knitting time from 1-3 on Fridays- so I'm going to be going when I go to the hospital again. Should be fun!

The One Skein Wonder that fits No One. Blah.

And not pictured, is the body of the wedding afghan, completely finished, waiting for its border :)

Right now I'm working on my new needles, a Manos Del Uruguay drop stitch scarf for my sister's Christmas gift. And, that's it for now! This post is pretty chock full at the moment, so I'll sign off.

Comments:
Congrats on the Denise needles (I love them to death, the only downside is that all my needles and cords are taken up by my dozens of FOs)
I love the awareness ribbon dishcloth, I haven't seen that pattern before, is it online?
