I thought I'd start off with showing you my new knitting tool kit:

It's a file box, that I found in the Back to School area of Target the other night. It's awesome. I put all of my circulars and straight needles in there, along with my tools on the top-except for my knitting gauges. That's ok, I have a smaller pencilbox like box that holds my DPNs and now, the needle gauges. For ten bucks, I ADORE it.

Now, the snowflake update:

How long my scarf got to be-before I FROGGED IT. It just wasn't looking right, the snowflakes were not popping out at me, so I frogged. :( I've restarted with even smaller needles. I'm using Knitpicks Wool of the Andes with size 4 needles, and am almost finished the first snowflake repeat.

Better- but still eh. I've now decided to try re-working the chart a little bit, to see if I can make it work a bit better. We'll see.

And, while crocheting standing up so Chloe couldn't get to the lurex, I finished my first snowflake!

Unblocked, until I can get some starch. I'm not sure what I think-I think it's going to need some Christmas tree lights, and then I'll adore it.
